雲仙岳 (平成新山) - Return to Unzen (Heisei Shinzan) - 3/7/2025

My Experience: After hearing rumors of a potential opening to access the top of Heisei Shinzan (where I lost my drone 2 years prior), I wanted to revisit Unzen to assess myself. I was able to engage with one of the park representatives who mentioned that there is no way anytime in the near future that they have discussed or even considering opening access to the top. Volcanic gases have only seemingly increased the past couple of years

This year it what very cold where I took the ropeway instead of hiking and was able to capture lots of images and video which I will share in a short YouTube segment (stay tuned for that).
